I thought the idea of Myon secretly being the popular one to be hilarious. I wanted to play with the idea. Very short one-shot.

Probably because Youmu was mostly absent rather than poked fun at, which was what I mostly feared. Still, this whole concept of Youmu's ghost half not only having its own personality, but also being somehow cooler than her human self - just turns me off. It reeks of the dismissive attitude a large part of the fandom has towards Youmu; sometimes I think the authors are as determined to keep her appearances in stories predictably shallow and un-cool as a normal person would be to write about a character interestingly and in an original manner. (And the moral issues of 'humorous' incapacitation aside, anyone other than Youmu getting that close to Yuyuko, even if possessed by Myon, is a no.) Now before this turns into a rant about the overall state of the Touhou fandom, I'll try to shove my personal preferences aside at least partly. It wasn't badly written, even if it felt a bit too modern times-ish for a Netherworld story, and there were a couple moments I actually liked a lot... well, mostly in the last bit. With things as they are these days, it's always good to see Youmu sharing a moment with Yuyuko without looking upset, embarrassed or otherwise unhappy about it. Either way, I'm sure you can do well if you go against the current a bit more, and I'm looking forward to more YuyuYoumu stories from you.
