I thought the idea of Myon secretly being the popular one to be hilarious. I wanted to play with the idea. Very short one-shot.

Myon: Rockstar

It was late at night, and Youmu found herself amongst a small dying crowd of a late-night party hosted by Yuyuko. It had been hanging on for quite a few hours now, and Youmu was beginning to get very tired.

She found her way to Yuyuko's table, where the majority of the partygoers were left.

Yuyuko perked up, "Ah, Youmu~," she waved.

Youmu nodded and came over, "I'm afraid I'll be going to bed early."

"Oh, I see, don't mind us, we'll probably still be going until you wake."

Youmu knew this all too well. They waved and told her good night until she left into the mansion.

But what Youmu had thought were a bunch of people hanging on to a dying party were actually the early-comers. There was a long pause at the table. Someone of the more impatient, newer crowd who was not accustomed to Yuyuko's party whispered, "How long until Myon comes out?"

Yuyuko overheard, but continued to sit patiently, "A watched pot never boils..."

As usual, more familiar party-goers came in, ghosts and the usual celebrities of Gensokyo (a party is not complete without Suika), soon after Youmu had gone to bed. By the time Yukari finally arrived (long after Ran and Chen had both fallen asleep), Yuyuko stood up.

"I'll bring out the main attraction."

The crowd responded with cheers. And in response, Yuyuko silently floated back into the mansion, finding her way into Youmu's room. About her was that little mute wisp ghost-half of Youmu known as Myon. Yuyuko waved to Myon, who bobbed frantically like an excited dog and floated up to follow Yuyuko.

The two floated out to the backyard, where a large number of denizens gathered. The moment Myon appeared applause thundered throughout the garden. She was greeted like a rockstar. They chanted her name as she floated about her fans. It took a while, but eventually the initial shock wore off, and the party went back to its 'mingle-with-booze' atmosphere. However, every circle that Myon visited became instantly cheerful. The party-goers treated her like a pet, petting and high-fiving her (to the extent that you can do that with a wisp of a ghost).

Eventually, and it didn't take long (nor does it ever), someone asked, "What's the big deal with her anyways? She's just a wisp."

A silence fell around her as some of the veteran party-goers smiled and began pointing at the woman. Myon, on cue, picked this up and followed the pointers to float about the accused party, circling her head.

She looked confused, "What's going on?" But her friends urged her to go along with it.

People began laughing and cheering. Myon spun faster and the crowd got more anxious and wild. She would pause and sometimes slow down to draw more ire from the crowd. Eventually, Myon flitted inside her ear. The woman's eyes went white as she became possessed for the evening. The crowd went silent as the woman remained perfectly still.

Suddenly, the woman leaped up in the air, hands outstretched, and screamed, "BOO!"

This actually scared a few of the people around her.

The woman raised her arm in the air and yelled at the top of her lungs, "Ladies, gentlemen, denizens of hell, and those who are too plastered to understand what I just said, good evening!"

The crowd erupted into more applause and began chanting Myon's name yet again (somewhere in the audience Suika was too plastered to understand what she said).

Myon waved and shook hands as she made her way to the patio's stage. After a few gracious "thank you"s to the audience, she started up her daily ad lib comedy routine.

Every joke was new, delivered with pitch-perfect precision; in-references to old shows were subtle and plentiful. The show was perfect, as it always was.

On cue, after about an hour she brought the routine to a close by pulling Yuyuko on stage, "And everyone, please give a round of applause to my kind sponsor!"

As they applauded, Myon brought her close, kissed her on the cheek, and whispered in her ear, "Thanks for another wonderful night."

Myon flitted out of the woman's ear and back into the mansion. After poking fun at the woman’s initial confusion, the great majority of the crowd began to disperse. Quite a few still stubbornly stayed, but it was not too long before the majority of the attendants began giving their farewell. By the next morning Yuyuko was left sitting on the patio and watching the sun rise over the trashed garden with a number of still-intoxicated members passed out amongst it.

By late morning, Youmu had woken up, and walked up behind Yuyuko.

She looked out amongst the garden, "What...did you _do_ last night?"

Yuyuko looked up and smiled, ignoring her question, "Youmu~~~, how did you sleep?"

Youmu ignored the carnage for a moment to take some time to talk with Yuyuko, "I dreamt I was really famous again."

She sat down beside Yuyuko and sighed, "I wonder what it would be like if I really was?"

Yuyuko stroked Youmu's head, "I don't imagine it would be very hard for you," she placed her head on Youmu's shoulder, "But isn’t this enough for you?”

Youmu kissed Yuyuko's head, and leaned her head against Yuyuko's, "Don't worry, I don't think something like that could happen anyways."
